Our Date Night

Ryan and I have been married for almost eight years and sometimes it's tough to go out on a date as different activities and former obligations take priority.  So...Ryan and I decided to take one night, this past Saturday night, to go visit Paul Oakenfold, a techno DJ.  This was our first time at a techno concert so it was quite the adventure, but we couldn't say no, because it was free!  The pics from our night are below...

Right before we left.  Trying to dress up for the night...

Ryan and I before the concert starts with my new mask.  It was free to the attendees IF you bought the "Free for All" package with unlimited drinks during the night.  Well, we don't drink so I asked the lady if I could have a mask, because we don't drink so we wouldn't be buying the package deal.  She gave it to me!  I was so excited, because it was so cute...

Here is Paul Oakenfold.  He was very talented and quite involved with the crowd.  He initiated the clapping, the dancing, etc. and cheered us on as we cheered him on.  What was really exciting was he waved to Ryan and I before he came on stage.  We were standing in the front row and I started waving to him during the pre-show.  That was pretty neat.  Unfortunately, we couldn't get a picture with him.

Pics of Ryan and I during the concert.  Someone took the first one of us (the lights were really bright) and the second one was our little self-portrait....

This is one of my favorite pics, because of the pretty fountain in the back.  We got this taken right before we left to go back home.  Unfortunately, it's a little fuzzy.

Date night was lots of fun, though it was very loud.  The music was awesome and it was really cool to be able to spend time with each other and de-stress.  Date nights are the best!  We should definitely make this a regular scheduled event.
