...His Relationship with Christ and Philosophical Traits
I have known for the longest time that I wanted to marry someone that put God first in everything they said and did. I wanted our home to be built on God's Word and that would be the most important aspect of our marriage and family. Ryan met and exceeded all of this.
Ryan is one who bases all of his beliefs on the Bible and the Bible only. When Ryan has a question regarding what he believes in; he goes straight to scripture and looks for his answers there.
We have been through so much together in these last eight years, however we know that God is still there just as the "Footprints" poem states. Generally speaking...those moments that were the toughest and hardest and when we wondered if God was even there (because there were only one set of footprints) was when God was carrying us. These times have brought Ryan and I even closer.
Ryan is also very philosophical in nature. I ask him many questions (my Ryan is very wise and I love how open I can be with him) and he always has a response. Ryan can become very serious and look me in the eyes giving me an answer that I didn't even think of. He quotes the Bible and then helps me to understand and apply it to my life or a circumstance that we may be facing. I could never ask for anything more.
Below is a picture that we took in church one Sabbath of a symbol of our marriage. We base everything on the Bible and it will always be the foundation of our lives.
