I was bullied a lot as a child. There were many nights that I came home crying to my Mom telling her that I was ugly and not as special and cool like the other kids at school. She continued to share the same phrase with me that" God doesn't make junk" which helped, but unfortunately, I usually needed to hear it on a daily basis. It's sad that when you're bullied you only tend to remember the negative remarks that are spoken to you rather than the positive ones from people that really care.
Today there is a new movement, "Stomp out Bullying", which is working on increasing the awareness of bullying and it's affects on children and teens. It shares knowledge about hazing and being the bully him/herself and what we as friends/parents/teachers/schools can do to help.
I encourage you to please take time to visit the site and pass the link on to some of your friends so that the awareness can continue. Stomp out Bullying
