Sunshine

During the past few weeks I have seen amazing picturesque views of the sun shining through the clouds.  I immediately want to get pictures of this breathtaking site. 

The main thought that goes through my mind is the second coming of Christ.  I think of the verses from Revelation 21: 1-2 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and the sea existed no longer. I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven." and I Thessalonians 16-17: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel's voice and with the trumpet of God...Then we will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord"  I also think of the hymn: There is Sunshine in My Soul: "There is sunshine in my soul today, More glorious and bright than glows in any earthly sky, For Jesus is my light.  O there’s sunshine, blessed sunshine, While the peaceful, happy moments roll, When Jesus shows His smiling face, There is sunshine in my soul."

I remember taking the first picture, showing it to Ryan and noticing that the sun was in the shape of the cross.  I couldn't help but look at the picture and "tear up" as I thought of Jesus as my Light and seeing that through the clouds while running errands.  It's amazing how Christ continues to share His love with us.
