Two weeks ago there was a call for snow. I searched and scanned and squinted to find a flake. I found a couple, but they were microscopic. Ryan and I have this tradition of kissing under the first snowfall and trying to get a picture. We tried to photograph with the last one, but it didn't work and of course anyone who knows me knows that the heavier the snowfall the better. Well, the Weather Channel, Channel 11 and other news sources (I'm all over the place when it comes to weather-I research everywhere) predicted snow. I tried not to get my hopes up, but I wanted it so badly. This is a picture that my Mom caught of me this morning waiting and watching (it finally came and so did my kiss).
I kept wanting to go outside, because it was so fun. I wanted snow for so long and I was going to enjoy it.
It got heavier, but I stayed inside, because then it started mixing with sleet and I didn't want to fall. I keep hoping that this will not be our only snow. I want lots more to share. There's just something about snow that brings out this child-like joy and giddiness. Looking forward to this season.
