Christmas Decorating 2014

Ryan and I began to decorate our home for Christmas yesterday evening.  The temperatures have been cold here in Glen Burnie and are supposed to get even colder (the 20's next week-yikes) so we started to feel in the Christmas spirit.  We turned on the Christmas music and put up the tree yesterday evening.

This morning we put up the Christmas lights outside.  This was our first time decorating outside so it was a bit exciting.  I think it looks pretty good.

Ryan and I began a new tradition last year in creating a Christmas village on our dining room table. Each year we will try to add a new figurine or new building so that it will continue to grow.  Here are a few pics of us putting it together.  We also have the Nativity set.  This one, however, has a moose theme.

Last year we went to the store after Christmas when everything was 80-90% off.  We found the "Reindeer on the Roof".  We believe it's another version of "Elf on the Shelf".  I love reindeer so we thought it would be fun.  The Reindeer is on the second shelf.  "Jingle" from Hallmark is on the first shelf (he's a couple years old).  They're cute.  Christmas does bring out the children in all of us.
