Former Blog: Our First Creation Fest (June 2010)

First Creation Fest 2010

From June 29th to July 4th, Ryan and I traveled to Shirleysburg, Pennsylvania to attend our very first Creation Fest. This was also my first time going camping. Oh goodness, it was definately something I had to get used to. However, the experience was life-changing. The speakers touched our hearts and the music inspired us in a way we never knew possible. Here are just some of the pictures from our trip.

This is what our shower consisted of. This type of hose and a shower curtain. No hot water either, five minute maximum shower time so a military shower was in order. Brought back memories from Majuro.

Our car announcement:

Our nice little tent. We actually put it up quite easily. I'm very proud of Ryan.

Our favorite Christian rapper, KJ-52. We never danced so much. Well, I "danced" while Ryan took pictures.
Ryan and I got a little bored while waiting to get KJ-52's autograph so Ryan made me a little grass ring. It was so cute.

This is the poster hanging from the entrance of the autograph tent. Rule #1 is why we do not have any pictures with the band members. #2 kind of stinks too...how cool would it be to give Toby Mac a hug. Though it was warm during the day it got down into the 40's at night.

The candlelighting service. Though there were 60,000 people this moment was so intimate and lovely.

The last concert was Skillet. They were incredible and Ryan loved the pyrotechnics. They were pretty neat if I say so myself. Ryan and I were fortunate enough to sit in on a Q&A session with the lead singer for Skillet. We were able to sit in the front row which was even better.
